Mould-made pottery lamp with a voluted rounded-tipped nozzle, a flat shoulder and an inward-sloping moulded rim. Between the nozzle volutes is an air-hole. The discus is decorated with an armed gladiator preparing for an attack. In the centre of the slightly raised base is a semi-circular mould-mark. Covered with a streaky purple-brown slip.
