Shallow broad-rimmed dish painted in strong, dark underglaze blue enriched with red enamel and gilt; in centre, two confronted four-clawed dragons forming circle, framed by heavy ring; in broad surrounding band, sixteen more dragons in various sinuous postures; on reverse, three brocaded balls tied in ribbons, and palm leaves. Made of porcelain. Imari ware.
