Shallow saucer-bowl, earthenware covered entirely with a presumed tin-glaze, painted on both sides. On the front Vulcan forging an arrow on an anvil, watched by three winged putti, one putto is being restrained by Venus. On the underside, in the sky a chariot drawn by four horses carrying Apollo and another chariot drawn by two dragons, in which are seated Saturn with a scythe and two putti. Part of a birth set.
