Lamentation over the dead Christ, copied after a painting of the Pietà in the Residenz, Munch; with the Virgin, two angels and another figure Pen and brown ink, heightened with white (partly oxidised), over black chalk, on light brown prepared paper. The sheet is very damaged with spots caused by surface abrasion, holes and fractures; made up in various places, notably to the left of the Virgin's head and along the lower left edge. Trimmed to an octagon.
