Scroll-painting (pata) in 14 registers, Bengal. The first register depicts the lion-capital of Sarnath, while other registers depict aspects of daily life, including scenes of farming, hospital, film showings and voting. There are several inscriptions denoting probable use as an election manifesto for a Medinipur 'grām panchayat' -also attested by one register depicting ballot boxes and voting. Watercolour on paper.
