Gouache painting on paper from an album of eighty-two paintings of Hindu deities. Four-armed Subrahmanya stands in samabhanga on a low pedestal, with his vahana (conveyance), the peacock, behind him. In his upper right hand he has the tanka (chisel) and in his upper left is the vajra (thunderbolt). The shakti (spear) rests on his right shoulder; his lower right hand is in abhaya and the lower left in varada mudra.
