This porcelain figure of a parrot is resting on a green rock base, pierced across the shoulder, decorated in aubergine enamels. It has a mark from the Dresden inventory which reads N168.I signifying that it was in Augustus the Strong, the Elector of Saxony’s collection in Dresden by 1721 when each piece was engraved with a number and with a category code-mark.
