This rectangular fragment is embroidered with colourful silk threads on 4-end complex gauze in pale red, which in turn is backed with plain woven silk, also in pale red. The embroidery, in satin stitch, is worked through both the gauze and the backing. Flowers form the main motif; there is also the head of a deer at the bottom and a tail of an animal (perhaps a dragon) at the top. Most of the gauze has disintegrated, and the only remains are those around the deer’s antlers.
