Shallow bowl with everted rim, glazed ring foot and base, four spur marks. Stonepaste fabric, white slip, cobalt blue underglaze in interior, transparent colourless glaze in interior, transparent cobalt blue glaze on exterior, lustre overglaze. Interior decorated with central cobalt blue square device (k'ang Hsi-type character mark) surrounded by pheasants and poppies, loss of lustreglaze in centre, rim decorated with cobalt blue lozenge pattern and four lotus flowers with lustre borders. Exterior decorated with lobed medallions with cross hatched design alternating with peony sprays.
